Abstract

Liquid photopolymerizable composites based on urethane acrylates for primary and secondary coatings of fiber lightguides have been developed and investigated. We present the results of tests of hardened samples of composites for tensile strength and relative elongation upon breaking, including composites acted on by moisture and accelerated aging tests. The composites have been put into production by the test factory in Dzerzhinsk and have been used to produce lightguides that satisfy high requirements on strength and damping in a wide temperature interval.
