Abstract
Computer modelling is used to investigate the dynamics of the optical response of a liquidcrystal
(LC) display at high control voltages as a function of the design parameters of the device.
The substantial difference in the behavior of the dynamics of the optical response is
discussed for LC displays in which different twisted structures are used. It is established that, at
high control voltages in an LC display based on the interference effect of polarized rays in
an LC structure with a twist angle of 180°, the optical response is characterized by the delay time
relative to the deformation response. The influence of the main physical and structural
parameters on the delay time of the optical response is explained.
