Abstract
It is theoretically shown that, when nano- and femtosecond laser pulses act consecutively on a
fullerene-containing medium, bleaching of the medium is observed. The dependences of
this effect on the parameters of the medium and of the laser radiation have been studied. This
effect can serve as a basis for creating optical shutters with a femtosecond response
time.
