Abstract
Optical energy transfer in solgel glasses doped with Quinizarin (1,4-dihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone) is investigated by time-resolved fluorescence depolarization measurements. We observe nanosecond optical energy transfer and analyze these results in terms of the spatial distribution of chromophores in doped silicate and aluminosilicate porous xerogel glasses.
