Abstract

We consider the transmission of plane electromagnetic waves through a chiral, optically active slab that is moving at constant velocity. The incident fields are transformed to the (moving) reference frame of the slab, and the reflection and transmission coefficients are calculated in this moving frame. They are then transformed to the observer’s (rest) reference frame and plotted as functions of slab velocity, thickness, and chirality.
