Abstract

It is shown that the time of information storage by the use of stimulated photon echoes in gases can be significantly increased in comparison with the radiative lifetime of the upper level by the action of a longitudinal magnetic field in the case of echo formation on the 1/2–1/2 (or 3/2–1/2) transition.
