Extended analysis of spectra and term systems in aluminumlike Ca viii–Ni xvi

Abstract

Spectra emitted from laser-produced plasmas of Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni have been recorded in the region 170–800 Å. In aluminumlike Ca viii–Ni xvi, transitions establishing all terms in the configurations 3s23p, 3s3p2, 3s23d, 3p3, and 3s3p3d (except 4F) have been identified, and new and improved level values have been derived. Ab initio and parametric calculations support the identifications and provide eigenvector components.
