Abstract
Bakunov and Bodrov [J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 38, 2587 (2021) [CrossRef] ] claim that equations used in our work do not correspond to the conventional configuration for tilted-pulse-front terahertz generation and that angular dispersion along the ${z^\prime}$ axis was not included. Here, we show how our numerical model was set up and prove that it does correctly capture the physics of the conventional tilted-pulse-front configuration, where the image of the grating is aligned with the tilted pulse front of the pump pulse. We show that angular dispersion in both ${x^\prime}$ and ${z^\prime}$ dimensions is included via conservation of momentum instead of a Taylor expansion along ${z^\prime}$.
