Abstract

A simplified scheme to generate multipartite entanglement via ultrashort pulse with or without the spontaneous parametric downconversion is proposed. The photon coincidence counting is investigated in detail for bipartite and tripartite entanglement; the scheme can be easily generalized to the n-partite case.
