Abstract

The 3d104s4f3d104p4f transition array has been identified for Zn-like Kr vii. Spectra produced by an electrical discharge in vacuum were recorded in the vacuum ultraviolet region from 500 to 1400 Å. Twenty one lines have been identified as combinations of levels comprising the above-mentioned transition array. Hence we were able to determine the energy levels of the 4p4f configuration. It was also possible to identify eight new transitions from the 4p4d4p4f array. These transitions confirmed the levels of the 4p4f configuration. The 4p4d 3P0 and 4s4f 1F3 levels that were missed in the early research with the Kr vii spectrum were also determined. Hartree–Fock calculations with relativistic corrections were used to predict energy levels and transitions.
