Feedback stabilization of semiconductor laser arrays

Abstract

We develop a feedback-control law for a coupled diode-injection laser stripe array system and propose a driver circuit capable of implementing this law. The feedback-control law is of a particularly simple form, permitting the array designer to phase lock on the lowest-order supermode (all elements operating in phase).
