Abstract

We obtain what is to our knowledge a novel solution for Stokes amplification with stimulated Raman scattering of a collimated broadband pump beam. We investigate conditions for the reconstruction of the frequency spectrum of the pump wave in the Stokes beam as well as the nonlinear waveguiding and spatial distribution of the intensity of the amplified Stokes beam.
