JOSA A Feature Issue Announcement

Color Vision 2023

Submission Opens:1 August 2022

Submission Deadline: 1 November 2022

This feature issue will span basic-science and applied approaches to the study of color vision, including perception and psychophysics, physiology and anatomy, functional imaging, genetics, and color-vision deficiencies. The issue is intended to attract submissions based on presentations at the 2022 Symposium of the International Color Vision Society (ICVS) to be held in Crete, Greece 1-5 July 2022 (https://www.icvs2022.org/). While meeting participants are particularly encouraged to submit their work, the feature is open to all other researchers in the related areas.

All papers need to present original, previously unpublished work, and will be subject to the normal standards and peer-review process of the journal. To be eligible for publication, the paper needs to be expanded, revised, and/or refined to add value to the original conference summary. See Optica Publishing Group’s policy on expanded conference papers here.

Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual guidelines for submission to JOSA A and must be submitted through the Prism submission system. When submitting, authors should specify that the manuscript is for the "Color Vision 2023" feature issue (choose from the drop-down menu).
