Abstract

A correction is given for Eq. (8) in J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 33, 2125 (2016) [CrossRef]  .

In our paper [1], Eq. (8) has inconsistent units. The corrected equation is

F(μ,η)=μ2(μ2+η2)3/2μy,maxγ2μy,max2+(μ2(μ2+η2)3/2γ2η22μ2+η2)arcsin(μy,maxγ).
The previous error does not affect any of the results or conclusions, since our calculations were based on the correct equation.
