Abstract

We analyze the influence of the introduction of detector noise, as proposed by Kumar et al. [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 9, 405 ( 1992)] on the optimal trade-off filters for noise robustness, optical efficiency, and sharpness of the correlation peak that were introduced by Réfrégier [ Opt. Lett. 16, 829 ( 1991)].
