Abstract

Based on the cross-spectral density function in coherence theory, we describe the Lau effect of a skew-periodic object. First we derive the intensity of the Lau image of a general plane object, then we derive the intensity of the Lau image of a skew-periodic object and the Lau imaging conditions, and finally we explain the Lau effect of a skew-periodic object and the experimental results.
