Abstract

The alternative approach to the problem of the calculation of radiation-pressure efficiency for spherical particles is applied. The method involves the determination of the Maxwell stress tensor on the particle’s surface. The inversion of some radiation-pressure resonances for negative values of the imaginary part of the complex refractive index is also confirmed.
