Abstract

We reply to Oughstun’s Comment [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 12, 626 ( 1995)] on our paper [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 10, 740 ( 1993)] by describing how the results of our analysis of signal arrival for the case that we studied in our paper, namely, arrival of a modulated unit-step signal in lossless chiral media with use of a single-resonance Lorentz model with zero damping and in the region of normal dispersion, are valid and correct.
