Abstract
We derive a least upper bound for the absolute pointwise error that results when reconstruction of undersampled images is attempted. An example demonstrating the least-upper-bound nature of the result is furnished. The bound is shown to be twice as large as in the case of low-pass filtering prior to sampling.
