Abstract

The band intensity of the 9.6 μm (ν3) band of ozone has been determined from a set of 34 absorption measurements made at pressures of approximately 730 Torr and mass paths of 0.002–0.025 atm cm STP. The result, a band strength (298 K) of 355 cm−1 (atm cm STP)−1 with a standard deviation of 10 cm−1 (atm cm STP)−1 is in excellent agreement with previous studies by McCaa and Shaw and Young and Bunner.
