Abstract

Eight spectral lines of five-times ionized uranium between 800 and 1930 Å are reported. Four terms (5ƒ <sup>2</sup>F, 6<i>d</i><sup>2</sup><i>D</i>, 7<i>s</i><sup>2</sup><i>S</i>, and 7<i>p</i><sup>2</sup><i>P</i>) are given. Isoelectronic comparisons are made and the effect of crystal fields on the 5ƒ electron is discussed.
