Abstract
The utility of speckle interferometry for overcoming the atmospherically induced resolution limit is investigated with a laboratory simulation. Studies of various geometric object shapes verify reported field measurements for single and binary stars and demonstrate the usefulness of this technique for quantitative measurement of more complex shapes.
