Transmittance Method to Determine the Optical Constants of a Single Specimen

Abstract

A new transmittance method, with polarized light, is described from which the optical constants of a single, partially transmitting, specimen can be found. The derivation of the optical constants from the transmittance measurements is outlined. Simulated and experimental results are presented.
