Spectra and Mean Lives of Multiply Ionized Neon

Not Accessible

Abstract

The spectrum of an ionized neon beam excited by the beam-foil technique, previously studied in the range 2000–6000 Å, is analyzed in the vacuum ultraviolet (1050–2000 Å). The mean lives of excited levels in Nen+ (n = 2 to 6) were measured. For some transitions, the f values are compared with other measurements in the isoelectronic sequence of C i and N i.
