Abstract

The overlapping of two different zone plates creates a set of very interesting moiré patterns—the moiré zone plates (MZP). Their properties, especially their focal lengths and foci orientations, are studied analytically in this paper. Experiments were conducted to support the theory, and the results show that they are in perfect agreement.
