Luminance of 1° foveal test flash required for threshold visibility when superposed upon a 2° conditioning flash. Conditioning interval is given as the time elapsed between the onset of the longer conditioning flash and the onset of the test flash. The position of the threshold curve for the shorter conditioning flash has been adjusted horizontally to superpose the two functions. The curves for subject MW have been raised one log unit to avoid overlapping of curves from the separate subjects.
