Abstract

Modification of a Perkin-Elmer Model 12-C spectrometer for use in making rapid and accurate index of refraction measurements in the infrared is described. The calibration of the instrument and the measurement technique used are discussed. The results obtained from measurements on a typical glass sample are presented.
