Abstract

Photoelectron energy distributions for cesium antimonide Cs<sub>3</sub>Sb change radically in character when <i>h</i>ν exceeds 4 ev. This is attributed to scattering of excited electrons by valence electrons—a process not possible for <i>h</i>ν<4 ev. The results substantiate the zone structure proposed for Cs<sub>3</sub>Sb by J. A. Burton.
