Abstract
We present the results of measurements of the first five moments of the intensity fluctuations of stellar scintillation. Measurements were made using photon counting techniques. The moments were found to be consistent with a log normal model provided the normalized second moment of the intensity was less than ∼1.65. Above this, departure from log normal behavior occurred.
