Abstract
Polarizability has been expressed for each metallic grain of a granular film when subjected to an electric field successively parallel and normal to the substrate. A film made up of grains of different dimensions is envisaged first of all and, subsequently, one composed of identical grains. In every case the influence of the substrate and the distribution of the grains that constitute the film have been taken into account.
