Abstract

We consider the scattering of a plane wave by a semi-infinite slab of turbulent dielectric. By use of the Born approximation, asymptotic series are developed for the stochastic components of the forward-scattered field. For turbulence models with isotropic gaussian autocorrelation, with the receiver imbedded in the slab, we obtain results similar to those previously obtained; the present results are valid for more general turbulence models and geometries.
