Abstract

We present various innovative approaches and techniques for using a fiber Bragg grating as an interleaver device deployed in an optical network. Simulations that verify the various design approaches are presented. The analyzed Bragg grating configurations are periodic grating structures, distributed uniform gratings, super and composed structures, and iterative approaches for synthesizing.
