Abstract

Rapidly evolving technologies for photonic interference mitigation are surveyed and discussed. The techniques are categorized into photonic radio-frequency (RF) filters, photonic RF cancellers, and photonic RF front ends. Analysis is presented on an approach that combines linear and non-linear photonic RF front ends. An argument is presented for cooperative photonic, analog-electronic, and digital-electronic techniques.
