Abstract

This paper proposes a novel photonic device for wavelength-selective switching. The device is based on a multimode-interference Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MMIMZI) configuration with wavelength-selective phase-tuning circuits (WSPTC). Mode propagation theory is used for the analysis of this device.
