Measurement of the Differential Dispersion Coefficient in Two-Mode Fibers

Abstract

The autocorrelation function of light that has passed through a two-mode fiber is used to calculate the differential dispersion coefficient. The result is compared to that obtained from measurement of the beat length dispersion of the fiber.
