Abstract

A spectrochemical method is presented for the quantitative analysis of zirconium oxide for twenty-two impurities. Silver chloride is used as a acarrier in a carrier-distillation type arcing procedure. The general range is 10,000 ppm to 1 ppm on most elements and impurities can be determined by visual comparison to an accuracy of ± 50% of the element present.
