Abstract

We applied the cross-correlation analysis to the resonant Voigteffect spectroscopy of the magnetic field-induced transition in the oxygen A band b1 Σg+ (<i>v</i>' = 0)- <i>X</i>3 Σg- (<i>v</i> = 0). By calculating the cross-correlation function of the experimental profile by using the theoretical profile of the field-induced line, we detected a field-induced line superimposed on a magnetic dipole-allowed line with a larger intensity. The improvement of detection sensitivity for the isolated lines is also described.
