Abstract

Diffuse reflectance IR is often used to analyze solid samples with minimal sample preparation. One area where this technique is employed is in the determination of document authenticity. A study conducted by Poslusny and Daugherty examined the adhesives of collectible stamps and determined it was possible to learn whether the stamps contained the original adhesive or had been reglued.
