Optical Comparison of Thin Ag Films on Glass and Formvar

Abstract

The optical characteristics of vapor-deposited Ag films were investigated as a function of Ag thickness on both glass and Formvar-coated glass substrates. The optical density and the wavelength at maximum optical density were found to depend on the nature of the substrate.
