Abstract

The instrumental details of a nanosecond to millisecond transient and time-resolved Raman spectrometer are presented. This instrument allows for a variety of sample handling protocols and provides time-resolution appropriate for the investigation of most biological kinetic processes and solution photochemistry involving long-lived excited states. Two specific examples of its application are presented.
