Abstract

A new method for the spectroscopic analysis of mixtures is presented. The method involves computing the projections of the mixture spectrum in the space spanned by an orthonormal reference library. The use of orthonormalized reference spectra results in a significant reduction in the amount of computation involved in the direct spectroscopic analysis of mixtures.
