A Resonance Raman Microprobe Study of Chromobacteria in Water

Abstract

Several years ago we reported the resonance Raman spectra of several types of bacteria and algae. Detailed spectra obtained with 488-nm excitation were attributed to various carotenoid pigments commonly found in the organisms studied.
