Abstract

Quantitative measurement of a mixture of silica gel with a surface immobilized Cu(II) complex and unmodified silica gel is demonstrated with the use of photothermal beam deflection detection of the photoacoustic signal. A photoacoustic response function utilizing both magnitude and phase information is required in order for one to obtain a linear relationship between response and concentration.
