ICP Emission Spectra: II. Alkaline Earth Elements

Abstract

The spectra originating from an ICP excitation source operated under a standard set of conditions were classified and tabulated for the alkaline earth elements. The spectra were acquired by means of a scanning, echelle monochromator capable of measuring wavelength position to 0.01 Å. The spectral range observed was 2075 to 6005 Å. Almost all expected transitions for both atomic and singly ionized species in this spectral range were observed. The nature of this spectra is discussed. Several transitions are reported which were not in the MIT Tables.
