Abstract

Infrared spectra of fluororesin pyrolyzates, obtained by the conventional decomposition of samples on a commercial pyrolyzer employing a Nichrome filament (e.g., Barnes Engineering Company pyrolyzer model PY-2), generally contain fluosilicate (SiF62−) absorption maxima at 730 and 480 cm−1.
