Absorbance Ratio Calculations from the Infrared Spectra of Thick Liquid Films

Abstract

Thick liquid films have been used for determining low concentrations of a component of a liquid mixture by the infrared absorbance ratio method. The major component must be represented by absorption bands that would be insignificant in the spectrum of a thinner sample.
