A Digitally Controlled Shutter System for Spectroscopy

Abstract

A digitally controlled, two shutter system is described. The shutter will allow exposure times from milliseconds to hours with a jitter time of ±0.1 ms. An initial delay period before shutter opening can be set digitally, with the minimum delay being 3.4 ms.
