Abstract

The study of a great deal of time-dependent phenomena, especially in the field of chemical kinetics, generally involves calculation of the rate constant <i>k</i> for a first-order system which can be described by an exponential equation: <i>y</i><sub>t</sub> = <i>y</i><sub>0</sub> exp(–<i>kt</i>) (1)
