Abstract

Recently, increasing attention has been given to the ecological significance of DDT-type compounds. This growing concern is generally attributed to their stability and their subsequent persistence in the environment. Owing to the large number of such compounds and because of the difficulties of their isolation, it is important to have fundamental information dealing with methods and possibilities for their identification.
