dc Arc in Emission Spectrography IV: Correction for Matrix Effects

Abstract

A method of correcting for changes in the excitation conditions in the arc column brought about by different matrices is described. The technique is shown to be of practical use in routine analysis as well as in fundamental studies of the arc system.
